The Ritz aims to provide a unique experience for all ages. It is however only with the dedication of a wonderful team of volunteers that audiences can enjoy this local entertainment venue.
The people who are involved in the cinema not only offer a wide range of skills but can also acquire more through volunteering at the Ritz. All give their time for free. The younger duty members volunteer under the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme through their school, learning life skills during their time at the Ritz and indeed making friends.
All involved have a common passion; to keep the Ritz open and to provide the community with a cinema.
Do you have skills that would help us? Could you offer to assist in a behind the scenes role, rather than in the kiosk? We are looking to maintain our position as being a friendly and welcoming venue for all in the Thirsk area and we need your help.
